Almost all of the students in Mrs. Cyr's class LOVED Kitten's Full Moon. Only one student gave feedback showing they just liked it and no one reported not liking it.

Today we read Lilly's Big Day. It is a story about a little mouse named Lilly who wants to be the flower girl in her teacher's wedding. She gets very sad and disappointed that she will not be the flower girl. Her teacher helps come up with a different solution. Almost all of us in this class liked this story and we think you will too!

We really liked Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse. Lilly gets very mad at her teacher when he takes her things away. We had a connection to the story. Lilly kept saying she wants to be a teacher when she grows up. We wrote about what we want to be when we grow up in our writer's workshop this morning!

Today we learned that "crysanthemum" is a fall flower. We also learned it is a name of a little girl mouse. In the book Crysanthemum, the little girl mouse goes to school and other mice tease her about her name. It made Crysanthemum very sad. There was a happy end to the story.
