When evaluating websites, consider the following......
WHO is the author?
WHAT IS THE CONTENT?
WHEN?
WHERE is it hosted?
WHY does it exist?
WHO is the author?
- Is the author’s name on the page?
- Is the company organization on the page?
WHAT IS THE CONTENT?
- Is the website easy to use?
- Are the graphics high quality?
- Are there spelling/grammar mistakes?
- Are there information sources listed?
WHEN?
- Is the creation date visible?
- Is there an indication of it being updated?
WHERE is it hosted?
- What is the URL?
- Is the host reputable?
- Are you certain it is not a personal page?
WHY does it exist?
- Was the website created?
- What is the purpose of the site?

Non-profit organization

The GREEN sites mean GO since these websites are sponsored by reputable sources. However, remember that not all non-profit sites are reputable!
The YELLOW sites mean proceed with CAUTION since these websites could be selling something, so be careful.
The RED sites mean STOP since these website contain personal opinions, which is not a good source.
